Rob Zombie has debuted a new poster for his upcoming Halloween sequel (or is that remake-sequel?), and it’s seriously one of the worst posters I’ve ever seen for a mainstream film. If I saw this sitting in a Wal-Mart $5 direct-to-DVD bin I would probably still think it looked terrible, but honestly — the first flick earned $80 million and plenty more on video. Couldn’t they afford a competent artist to make the poster?
But maybe it’s fitting that the poster is so awful, because I’m sure it will serve as an accurate reflection of the film’s quality. I guess some people are actually looking forward to this, but sorry, the whole redneck trailer trash thing in the first film kind of annoyed me. That, plus the fact that it was just kind of a horrible movie.
