TMZ is reporting that Mel Gibson’s wife of 28 years, Robyn, has just filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The bad news for Mel is that they married in 1980, before he amassed upwards of $900 million, and before he’d have a reason to consider signing a prenup. And California law grants 50/50 assets, which means Mel’s ex will be walking away with half of his fortune.
Still, when you have that much money, does it really matter? Not even Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer combined could blow their way through $450 million. All he needs to do is Lethal Weapon 5 and The Revenge of the Christ and he’s back near the Billionaire Club.
