Remember a couple months ago when Joaquin Phoenix claimed that he was retiring from making movies in favour of a career in music? Most people probably assumed that he would produce a country-rock album, considering the critical praise that his Johnny Cash cover songs were met with for the Walk the Line soundtrack in 2005. However, it’s probably fair to say that not many people predicted Phoenix would opt, instead, for a career as the next Fiddy Cent.
